The Essential Facts of Backgammon Strategies – Part 1

[ English ]

The objective of a Backgammon match is to move your checkers around the game board and bear those pieces from the game board quicker than your challenger who works harder to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposite direction. Winning a match of Backgammon needsrequires both strategy and fortune. Just how far you will be able to move your checkers is up to the numbers from rolling a pair of dice, and the way you move your pieces are determined by your overall gambling techniques. Players use a number of tactics in the differing parts of a match based on your positions and opponent’s.

The Running Game Technique

The aim of the Running Game strategy is to bring all your checkers into your inside board and pull them off as fast as you could. This tactic concentrates on the pace of advancing your chips with little or no efforts to hit or block your opponent’s pieces. The best time to employ this tactic is when you think you can move your own checkers quicker than your opponent does: when 1) you have less pieces on the game board; 2) all your pieces have past your competitor’s checkers; or 3) the opponent doesn’t employ the hitting or blocking technique.

The Blocking Game Plan

The primary aim of the blocking tactic, by its title, is to block the opponent’s pieces, temporarily, not worrying about moving your pieces quickly. Once you have created the barrier for the competitor’s movement with a couple of checkers, you can shift your other pieces rapidly from the game board. The player should also have a good strategy when to back off and shift the checkers that you utilized for the blockade. The game gets intriguing when your opposition utilizes the same blocking tactic.
