The Essential Details of Backgammon Strategies – Part One

[ English ]

The objective of a Backgammon game is to move your checkers around the Backgammon board and bear them from the board quicker than your competitor who works harder to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposite direction. Succeeding in a match of Backgammon requires both strategy and good luck. Just how far you can move your pieces is left to the numbers from tossing the dice, and just how you move your chips are determined by your overall gambling plans. Players use a number of techniques in the differing parts of a match dependent on your positions and opponent’s.

The Running Game Technique

The aim of the Running Game tactic is to bring all your checkers into your inner board and pull them off as quick as you can. This tactic focuses on the speed of shifting your checkers with absolutely no efforts to hit or block your opponent’s chips. The ideal time to employ this plan is when you think you can move your own chips faster than the opponent does: when 1) you have a fewer pieces on the game board; 2) all your pieces have moved beyond your opponent’s chips; or 3) your opposing player does not use the hitting or blocking technique.

The Blocking Game Plan

The primary goal of the blocking tactic, by the name, is to stop your opponent’s chips, temporarily, not fretting about shifting your pieces rapidly. After you have established the blockade for your competitor’s movement with a few pieces, you can shift your other checkers rapidly from the board. The player really should also have a good plan when to extract and move the pieces that you used for the blockade. The game becomes intriguing when the opponent utilizes the same blocking technique.
