The ideal time to use this tactic is when you think you might be able to shift your own pieces quicker than the opposing player does: when 1) you have less chips on the board; 2) all your chips have moved beyond your opponent’s pieces; or 3) your opposing player does not use the hitting or blocking technique.
The Blocking Game Technique
The main aim of the blocking tactic, by its title, is to stop the competitor’s chips, temporarily, while not worrying about shifting your checkers rapidly. Once you’ve created the barrier for the opponent’s movement with a couple of checkers, you can move your other chips quickly from the game board. The player really should also have a good plan when to withdraw and move the chips that you utilized for blocking. The game gets intriguing when the competitor uses the same blocking technique.
