As we dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a casino game of talent and luck. The aim is to shift your checkers carefully around the game board to your inner board and at the same time your opposition moves their chips toward their inside board in the opposing direction. With competing player pieces shifting in opposite directions there is bound to be conflict and the requirement for specific techniques at particular times. Here are the last 2 Backgammon techniques to finish off your game.
The Priming Game Tactic
If the goal of the blocking plan is to slow down the opponent to shift his chips, the Priming Game tactic is to completely barricade any movement of the opponent by assembling a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The competitor’s checkers will either get hit, or result a bad position if he/she ever attempts to escape the wall. The ambush of the prime can be setup anywhere between point 2 and point 11 in your board. As soon as you have successfully constructed the prime to prevent the movement of your competitor, the opponent doesn’t even get a chance to toss the dice, and you shift your pieces and toss the dice again. You will be a winner for sure.
The Back Game Plan
The objectives of the Back Game tactic and the Blocking Game tactic are similar – to harm your opponent’s positions in hope to improve your odds of winning, but the Back Game tactic relies on seperate techniques to do that. The Back Game tactic is frequently utilized when you are far behind your opponent. To play Backgammon with this strategy, you need to hold two or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This strategy is more difficult than others to use in Backgammon because it requires careful movement of your chips and how the checkers are relocated is partially the outcome of the dice toss.
